New Jersey Hospital Pain Clinic - Newark, NJ This was the first NIH-sponsored study of the healing effects of qigong. Patients in this clinic were suffering intractable pain in their extremities due to Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome (RSDS), for which Western medicine has no cure. Masters Shen and Wu used qigong healing methods, including Life Information Qigong, on these patients suffering from nerve degeneration. Although the official results of the study were inconclusive, Masters Shen and Wu documented improvement in a large number of patients, including one complete remission. |
