| A native of Zhuhai,
Guangdong Province, China, Yi Wu was born in Yokohama, Japan in 1934, in a Chinese family
with many ancestors being the distinguished educators. Yi Wu went back to China in 1948 and graduated from Chinese
Fine Art major, Nanjing Institute of Arts in 1962 and became a professional artist. In
1994 Yi Wu established the Association of Modern Chinese Art and, Oversea Arts Consultant
of Nanjing Institute of Calligraphy and Painting.
Yi Wu has mastered the traditional Chinese theory
of Qi and invented the unique Ruyi Zen Universal Qigong. He is
one of the most accomplished artists
